Shared Courses Teaching Shapes
Peer to Peer Support
Teaching shared courses in remote, blended, or mixed instructional modes presents many challenges not faced in a traditional classroom. Are you interested in observing your peers who are teaching in similar modes to gain insight, new ideas, and feedback on your own practices? We are excited to announce the opportunity for shared programs instructors to participate in Shared Courses Teaching Shapes, a program aimed at improving teaching excellence in shared courses taught in a variety of instructional modes.
Shared Courses Teaching Shapes invite instructors from diverse disciplines to join a group of 3-4 faculty to observe each other’s shared courses to:
- observe other methods of teaching,
- gather formative feedback on your own instruction,
- reflect on remote teaching practices.
The semester long program includes a kick-off meeting, observing 2-3 peers’ classes, attending a square share session and wrap-up meeting.
If you are interested in being part of a Shared Courses Teaching Shape, please register. The kick-off meeting will be scheduled for the beginning of the semester (September for the Fall and February for the Spring).
