Biobehavioral Health

This major provides interdisciplinary training designed to integrate biological, behavioral, and social science approaches to the study of human health and illness. Emphasis is placed on the study of physical health. The goal of this major is to help students gain a working familiarity with multiple perspectives, approaches, and methods needed to address and solve problems of human health and illness.

Business: Accounting

This program focuses on accounting from a business perspective. It prepares students to pursue careers in business with an emphasis on the areas of financial and managerial accounting, systems and controls, auditing, and taxation.

Corporate Communication

The Penn State Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communication (CC) program prepares students for public information and media relations positions in profit and non-profit organizations. The Corporate Communication degree features cross-disciplinary coursework in business, information systems, and human behavior, and builds strong oral, written, and visual communication skills.

Computer Science

The Computer Science program prepares students for a wide range of careers as computer scientists, software engineers, software developers, and related positions in the field of computing. The curriculum covers fundamental programming techniques and skills; broad knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and the mathematical foundations of computing; and advanced topics in software design and application development.

Criminal Justice

Criminal justice is the study of the adult and juvenile justice systems, including law enforcement, the courts, and corrections. It is interdisciplinary and includes understanding the intersections of law, public policy, and behavioral science, in an effort to understand crime as a social problem and improve these systems for the good of society.

Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations

Cybersecurity Analytics and Operations (CYAOP) gives you the hands-on technical cyber defense strategies, risk management, and data-driven cybersecurity analytics experience you need to compete in this exciting, fast-growing field of security and protection.

Engineering

Penn State developed the engineering degree with the multidisciplinary engineering design option in response to the evolving needs of companies in the Greater Philadelphia region and beyond. The curriculum offers a firm grounding in engineering fundamentals, embraces multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary education, and integrates component solutions into a systems perspective.

Health Policy and Administration

Penn State Hazleton’s health policy and administration (HPA) bachelor of science program prepares students for careers in the healthcare industry as well as for graduate studies in business, law, medicine or allied health fields, health administration, health services research or policy, and public health.

Information Sciences and Technology

Information Sciences and Technology (IST) bridges the knowledge gap between the diverse fields of business and computer science.

Project and Supply Chain Management

The Project and Supply Chain Management shared program is offered at 12 Commonwealth Campuses and concentrates on developing knowledge, skills, and abilities in both project and supply chain management.

Rehabilitation and Human Services

The Rehabilitation and Human Services (RHS) major prepares students for entry-level positions in a variety of human service settings including agencies serving people with physical, psychological, and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
